Maybach Music soldier Wale is one of those rappers who acts and reacts emotionally. That’s not a diss, but fact. Wale even said it himself in an interview with Mo’Nique on her now-canceled talk show. He told the Oscar winner that his heart has gotten him into a lot of trouble in the past and will most likely continue to land him in some drama. that statement has proven to be true and you need to check no further than Wale’s Twitter account for proof.

Wale has taken sharing matters of the heart on Twitter to a whole new level. He’s defended his videos not featuring dark skinned models despite being a dark skinned man himself. He’s also confronted women who have had negative things to say about his looks, actions, and any other thing they choose to comment on.
Check out some of Wale’s biggest and best Twitter beefs.
Wale vs. DJ Semtex (2009)
In 2009, Wale had signed to Interscope Records and was in the middle of the big industry push. As a new artist, he had a single that featured Common and Lady Gaga called “Make Her Say.” Since he was in promotion mode, he did an interview with DJ Semtex’s website. Things got heated between the rapper and DJ when DJ Semtex thanked Wale for the interview and then saw that wale tweeted that he hated doing interviews in the middle of DJ Semtex’s. Semtex responded to Wale telling him the interview couldn’t be used because other rappers have given better conversation. Wale tried to explain that the reason behind the tweet wasn’t because of the interview DJ Semtex conducted, but all was lost. DJ Semtex ethered Wale in a series of tweets and concluded with, “There is no beef, no tension, no blackballing, I’m just saying please give a f*ck when the next kid interviews you.“ Wale deleted his Twitter page and came back after that incident.

Wale vs. Kola Boof (2011)
Usually, Wale is the one offending people. However, in this instance, it was Wale who was forced to defend himself. Writer and former side chick of Osama Bin Laden Kola Boof blasted Wale on Twitter for not featuring any dark skinned black women in his “Pretty Girls” video. Boof fired the first shot with, “There wasn’t a single Black woman in “Pretty Girls”…so what in the f— was he saying about African women?? His own race?” @WALE is a little Punk B—h Nigerian Skin Bleacher who wants to escape his own people & gets PAID 2 do s. I know enough about @WALE …and he’s a LOSER a– Motherf—er in my book. Don’t give a s–t who’s IN DENIAL. F–k WALE.”
Wale tried to respond respectfully, but Boof just kept attacking him with accusations of self-loathing. Though Wale didn’t waste too many characters on this beef, he did call her a lunatic and say that he had fought to get darker skinned models put in the video. Kola Boof responded to Wale’s tweets with lyrics from his song “Shades,” which is all about complexion and all of the struggles that come with being dark.

Wale vs. Rosa Acosta (2011)
One of Wale’s more vicious attacks was on model Rosa Acosta. Rosa was hosting an event Wale was scheduled to perform at and before he took to the stage, she tweeted how excited she was to see him perform. Once he started rocking the crowd, Wale got a little excited and jumped into the crowd. The only problem was he couldn’t get out and security had to come get him. Rosa mentioned that last tidbit of information on Twitter and Wale wasn’t too appreciative. He began insulting the model, saying she had slept her way around the industry and other unsavory things like that. After Wale’s Twitter assault, Rosa Acosta just laughed and said that men menstrate too.

Wale vs. Kid Cudi (2010)
Back when Kid Cudi was the hottest thing in the virtual streets, Wale was at odds with him. Wale and Cudi had been quietly warring for a time. Wale made a comparison between the two using a sports theme. Kid Cudi wasn’t too appreciative and did an interview with Complex Magazine where he said he was “unf**kwittable.” Wale responded on Twitter saying, “N***as lettin that liquid cocaine get to them…..lets go then.” Wale’s jab made reference to Cudi’s arrest around that time on cocaine possession charges. This was a minor beef on Twitter, but the two did end the cattiness there. They’re now friends again.

Wale vs. Amanda Seales (2012)
Wale’s battle was one of the more troubling Twitter incidents. It was troubling because the incident almost turned physical and it involved a woman. Media personality Amanda Seales (formerly Diva) was hosting the annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. During Wale’s set, Seales tweeted, “This ni**a Wale just moonwalked on stage. I’m always amazed at the love women have for him. Lol He be rappin tho.” Wale confronted Amanda at the event after seeing the tweet and demanded an explanation. When he didn’t receive one, he formed his hand into a gun and told her, “YOU NEED TO WATCH WHAT YOU SAY.” He then took to Twitter to call stupid names and such, you know, regular Wale stuff. Amanda Seales responded by writing an op-ed for Clutch Magazine about how women keep on loving hip-hop while continually being disrespected by hip-hop. Yeah, very anticlimactic.
