TDE's Ray Vaughn Speaks on New Music, Kendrick/Drake Beef
TDE’s Ray Vaughn Speaks On The Hunger Of West Coast Hip-Hop (And That Kendrick/Drake Beef, Of Course)
If there’s one thing we’ve learned these past few weeks, it’s this: The West Coast got SOMETHING to say!
When it comes to hip-hop, the West always gives it to you straight. Look no further than TDE’s Ray Vaughn, who has been making noise with tracks such as “Blasphemy” and the Pusha T-assisted “Problems.” Like many before him, Vaughn’s hunger and true-to-life storytelling are the driving forces behind his music, and it shows.
Vaughn checked in with DJ Remedy during BET Awards weekend to discuss plans for his upcoming album and the overall vibe of the West Coast as of late. And, to no one’s surprise, the two definitely got into a deep conversation about the rap battle between Vaughn’s former TDE labelmate, Kendrick Lamar, and that man from the North… no name necessary.
