We are saddened to learn about the passing of legendary Texas rapper & producer BeatKing on August 15 at the age of 39.

According to 97.9 The Box, a member of BeatKing’s team confirmed that his passing was health-related. We keep the Texas Legends friends, family, & fans in our thoughts and prayers.

BeatKing’s influence was by far, unmatched. There was not one strip club in America you can go to without hearing BeatKing’s music. His tracks lived on for many summers, being the party anthems to each turn up. Despite his short time in the spotlight, his impact was left on the hip-hop game, leaving an imprint on his fans. Club Godzilla’s untimely passing has been felt through all parts of the world, but his legacy lives on. As Hip-Hop mourns his loss, we also celebrate the bright smile, positive energy, & great music BeatKing used to bring into any room.
