Hurricane Chris has criticized 50 Cent for overlooking one important aspect during his series of events in his hometown. In a social media post on Sunday, August 18, the artist from Louisiana expressed his disappointment towards the rapper-filmmaker for not including local artists in the lineup for his Humor & Harmony Weekend in Shreveport. Chris shared his dissatisfaction in a video, mentioning that he was not in favor of the decision and accused Fifty of excluding him and fellow Louisiana artists from the opportunity.

“You threw a motherf**king concert in Louisiana and didn’t book no Louisiana legends, didn’t put no bankroll in any Louisiana legends’ pockets, but you paid the police half a million dollars,” he said.

Chris accused 50 Cent of utilizing his city due to its lower operating costs compared to “where he’s from.” He also mentioned that the G-Unit Films founder did not feature artists like himself, Big Will, Big Poppa, or local artists from Baton Rouge such as Boosie Badazz and Webbie. Chris criticized Fif for donating $500,000 to the local police department instead of investing it back into the community. He elaborated on his points on X, previously known as Twitter.

“When I signed my deal, I noticed Shreveport was seen as a cost-effective investment, but we always protected our hometown to safeguard what belongs to us. The city is leveraging 50 Cent to generate income, not for the people. Spending half a million on police just feeds the system,” he expressed.
