Sean “Diddy” Combs is at it again with another disturbing lawsuit.
Former Danity Kane Member Dawn Richard recently filed a complaint against Diddy for physical and sexual abuse while she was working for him.
The lawsuit noted that Richard first recognized Diddy’s violent nature when she first auditioned for his show “Making The Band.” During her auditions, she noticed that Diddy would refer to women as “fat”, “ugly”, “b*tches”, and “h*es”. She then noted that due to her eagerness to work with such a household-name artist, he took advantage of her.
She then continues to note that she witnessed Diddy abusing his girlfriends, including Kim Porter. Richard saw Kim leaving the studio with a bruised face. She also says that she saw Diddy throw his other ex-girlfriend, Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, into a wall, choke her, and drag her up the stairs at his home in L.A.
When Dawn went to comfort Cassie and advised her to leave her relationship, Diddy intervened and said: “Y’all b*tches dont get in my relationship…Don’t tell my b*tch what she need to be doing…Just make money and shut the f*ck up…I end artist…I shelve careers…You could be missing…You b*tches want to die today.”
With Richard filing a lawsuit, it supports numerous of other allegations against Diddy. Further in her suit, she also accuses him of sexual harassment and physical abuse. The musician said at one point Diddy forced her and her group mates to practice for 48 hours straight. This resulted in weight loss, dehydration, and an influx of rashes.
Another claim she made was Diddy inviting her to his home, and when he went to answer the door he was naked. Another inappropriate time was when Dawn was in her dressing room and Diddy came in with no consent. He saw her nude and touched her inappropriately.
Richard also stated in the lawsuit that Diddy locked her in a vehicle for two hours. She called her father for help, who happened to live in Baltimore. Once her dad arrived to New York from Baltimore to confront Diddy, he told her father: “Think about your daughter…think about your daughter’s career.”
Diddy, through his representatives, is denying the allegations, citing the lawsuit as a money grab by a former friend.
“Mr. Combs is shocked and disappointed by this lawsuit,” said Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, in a statement. “In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour. If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”
