There are undoubtedly dark days ahead for Sean “Diddy” Combs, the disgraced music mogul and entrepreneur who now faces a slew of horrific allegations that threaten to not only displace his position as one of entertainment’s most celebrated names but land him behind bars.

According to TMZ, the 54-year-old Bad Boy Records founder has been charged with 3 counts – racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The indictment against Diddy alleges that, starting in 2008, members of the Combs enterprise allegedly engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, and prostitution activities. They are also accused of narcotics offenses, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
Various narcotics were seized during the raids at Diddy’s Miami and LA homes back in March, along with more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant. Firearms were also recovered, including 3 AR-15s with defaced serial numbers and a drum machine.

On Tuesday (Sept 17), Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York held a press conference centered around the indictment and details of the allegations.

According to Williams, Diddy used his power and financial resources to not only threaten his victims but virtually anyone who dared to speak out against his actions. In addition, Williams detailed the weapons confiscated and noted that, while Diddy is currently the only defendant in this case, he could not rule out the possibility that other names may be called to face charges.

Notes of the indictment:

  • Two AR-15s were allegedly found in Combs’ bedroom closet in Miami
  • Prosecutors will seek to keep Combs behind bars pending his sex-trafficking trial
  • Prosecutors will leave the door open for additional arrests
  • Combs’ arraignment will be held at 2:30 p.m. EST in a Federal Court

This week’s revelations have been looming for some time now: Earlier this year, Combs has sold his majority stake in Revolt. He founded the media company back in 2013. On June 4, Revolt confirmed the sale. Prior to that, in late November 2023, Revolt shared that Diddy had stepped down from his position as Chairman of the company.

Revolt now boasts that it is owned by employees and remains Black-owned. “REVOLT is honored and proud to announce that, in an unprecedented and historic move in the Black media space, our newly projected largest shareholder group are REVOLT’s current employees,” read a statement announcing Combs’ shares have been “fully redeemed and retired.” “Our mission to become the largest media company powered by creators and fueled by the culture continues.”
