A man living in North Carolina is one of six individuals who have filed a lawsuit against disgraced mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs this week, accusing him of sexual assault.
According to the Associated Press, the accusers are a part of what lawyers say is a group of more than 100 alleged victims who are pursuing legal action against the Bad Boy Records founder since his arrest last month on sex trafficking charges.
The NC man, identified as “John Doe” claims that Combs fondled his genitals at one of the rapper’s famed white parties in the Hamptons in 1998. He was only 16 years old at the time.
The man alleged that the two had a conversation about possibly breaking into the music industry. That’s when, he says, Combs abruptly ordered the then-teen to drop his pants.
According to the suit, Combs explained that the act was a “rite of passage” to get into the music business. John Doe said that he complied out of fear, anxiety, and the imbalance of power he felt with Combs. It wasn’t until later that he realized that Combs sexually assaulted him.

Before this lawsuit, filed on Monday, Oct. 14, Combs had only been accused of sexual activity with adults in both civil cases and his criminal indictment. The then-minor is one of four “John Does,” along with two “Jane Does,” who filed lawsuits in federal court in Manhattan.
Combs’ legal team and other reps did not immediately respond to comment. When the planned lawsuits were announced on Oct. 1, an attorney said that Combs “cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.”
The 54-year-old hip-hop figure has pleaded not guilty on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and other crimes. He faces decades in prison if convicted.
Combs is currently being held at a federal jail in Brooklyn, awaiting trial.
