Tyler Perry Teases Return of Why Did I Get Married?

Tyler Perry teased fans with a potential return of the Why Did I Get Married? franchise. Perry shared a glimpse of what appears to be the script for Why Did I Get Married Again? on Sunday (Oct. 20).
This comes 13 years after the release of Why Did I Get Married Too? in 2010. The original films starred Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal, Perry himself, Richard T. Jones, Malik Yoba, and Michael Jai White, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a reunion.
The buzz started on social media when Richard T. Jones, who played Mike, posted a playful video referencing a scene where his character left his wife Sheila, played by Jill Scott, to drive to a snowy retreat. This prompted in-character responses from Scott, Smith, White, and Leal.
Perry recently released Divorce in the Black and is preparing for the release of his new Netflix series Beauty in Black on Oct. 24. He has yet to confirm a release date for Why Did I Get Married Again?, but anticipation is high.
