Ranking Every Ring Collapse in WWE History

When the ring collapses in a wrestling match it sends shockwaves throughout the crowd. As the match is unlikely to continue after the spot, a ring collapse is often seen as the peak of the match.
Over the years WWE has has made some unforgettable moments, but I think every core wrestling fan has at least one ring collapse in their Top 10 wrestling moments of all-time.

According to WWE, There have been multiple ‘ring malfunctions’ in previous years (which we still consider as a ring collapse), but the first time the entire ring collapsed was during an episode of Smackdown in 2003 in a bout between The Big Show and Brock Lesnar.
Some of the most prominent names that come to mind when we think of a ring collapse is the Big Show, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and more recently, Braun Strowman. All of these man have been apart of legendary WWE matches that included a ring collapse, leaving the crowd in awe.

10. Nexus Demolition – (Raw) June 7, 2010
In efforts to make a name, the Nexus took it upon themselves to interrupt the Main Event of Raw the event of June 7th, 2010, to let top babyface John Cena — along with the WWE Universe — that they have arrived by wrecking the ring!
9. Undertaker Pulls Kane ‘Straight to Hell’ – (Smackdown) October 22, 2010
As Kane was moments away from putting the finished touches on his victory over Randy Orton, the venue went to black, and out came the Undertaker from under the ring to drag Kane down to ‘the depths of hell’
8. Tazz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow
Tazz is known as a submission specialist, and not breaking his hold even after the point of submission. This backfired as Bam Bam Bigelow did not take a liking to Tazz’s prolonged hold and took matters into his own hands!
7. Undertaker vs. Edge – SummerSlam 2008 (Happens @30:00)
In attempt to end his career, Edge took the Undertake to the limit in their 2008 SummerSlam match. After Undertaker came out victorious, he took it a step further to prove to the Rated-R superstar, that he was truly immortal!
6. Big Show vs. Undertaker – (Raw) June 7, 1999
Another instance where a superstar was looking to make a name for himself, the newly acquired Paul Wight, aka Big Show, came to WWE and made a statement by Chokeslamming the company’s top product straight through the ring!
5. Braun Strowman vs. Big Bronson Reed – (Raw) September 30, 2024
One of the most recent WWE ring breaks, the feud between Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed culminated into one of the most destructive productions this organization has seen in years!
4. Braun Strowman vs. Big Show – (Raw) April 17, 2017
Before Braun broke the ring with Bronson Reed, he did it with Big Show first! Strowman’s quick step allowed him to reverse from the Big Show, suplexing him from the top rope move to collapse the ring!
3. Big Show vs. Mark Henry – WWE Vengeance 2011
Big Show was apart of a number of ring collapses, understandably so. The combined weight of these two heavyweights was destined for failure as the ring was unable to hold over 1100 pounds of man!
2. Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar – (Smackdown) June 12, 2003
One of the most notable ring collapses in WWE history saw Brock Lesnar prove exactly why he was ‘The Next Big Thing’ in the WWE. The 2003 Superplex from the Top Rope cause a ring collapse heard around the world!
1. Triple H vs. Cactus Jack – No Way Out 2000
Mankind, aka Cactus Jack is known for taking some of the most famous bumps that made WWE a household name to date — this is one of those bumps. After being hit with the Pedigree so many times, he wanted to show Triple H how that faceplant feels against a steel cage. This was one of the most insane finsisher reversals in WWE history, as Triple H hauled Cactus Jack over his head, through the steel cage and through the ring!
